Details

* WHAT…Flooding and flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall are
possible.

* WHERE…Portions of northwest Illinois, including the following
county, Mercer and Iowa, including the following counties, Benton,
Iowa, Johnson, Louisa and Washington.

* WHEN…Through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– Widespread showers and storms are expected to develop late
tonight and last into Saturday. These storms will be capable of
rainfall rates between 1 to 2 inches per hour. Rainfall totals of
1 to 3 inches are likely in the hardest hit areas through
Saturday evening with the potential for localized areas of 3+
inches.

Instructions

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flash
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
