Details

* WHAT…Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall will be
possible.

* WHERE…A portion of western Texas, including the following
counties, Borden, Dawson, Ector, Glasscock, Howard, Martin,
Midland, Mitchell and Scurry.

* WHEN…Through early Friday evening.

* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding anmuch ofd
flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– An upper level low pressure system will slowly move into West
Texas through late this week and will interact with abundant
moisture to bring increasing coverage of showers and
thunderstorms to much of the Permian Basin Thursday and Friday.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with localized
amounts in excess of 4 inches will be possible through late this
week. Heavy rainfall may result in areas of flash flooding.
