Southeastern Arthur County in west central Nebraska…
Northern Keith County in southwestern Nebraska…
* Until 1015 PM MDT.
* At 928 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles northwest
of Brule, or 10 miles northeast of Big Springs, moving northeast at
55 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR LAKE MCCONAUGHY.
HAZARD…80 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.
* Locations impacted include…
Ogallala, Lemoyne, Keystone, Kingsley Dam, Eagle Gulch Campground,
Ruthon, Clear Creek State Wildlife Management Area, Megeath, Otter
Creek Campground, Lake View Campground, Big Bald Hill, Belmar, and
Bucktail Lake.
This includes the following highways…
Highway 61 between mile markers 89 and 91, and between mile markers
94 and 114.
Highway 92 between mile markers 119 and 138.
Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 109 and 110.
