* Until 600 PM CDT.

* At 508 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Cavour to 9 miles west of Carthage to 8 miles
northeast of Loomis, moving east at 50 mph.

THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR FOR FORESTBURG SOUTH DAKOTA,
ARTESIAN SOUTH DAKOTA, AND CARTHAGE SOUTH DAKOTA .

HAZARD…90 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…MESONET. At 454 PM a 90 mph wind gust was reported at a
mesonet site 8 miles east of Alpena, South Dakota!

IMPACT…You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris
may be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile
homes will be heavily damaged or destroyed. Homes and
businesses will have substantial roof and window damage.
Expect extensive tree damage and power outages.
