The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northwestern Kingsbury County in east central South Dakota…
Eastern Beadle County in east central South Dakota…

* Until 545 PM CDT.

* At 502 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 10 miles east of Hitchcock to near Cavour to 12
miles southeast of Huron, moving northeast at 50 mph.

THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR HURON SOUTH DAKOTA, CAVOUR SOUTH
DAKOTA, YALE SOUTH DAKOTA, AND IROQUOIS SOUTH DAKOTA.

HAZARD…90 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…ASOS Equipment. At 456 pm, a 90 mph wind gust was
reported at the ASOS station in Huron, South Dakota.

IMPACT…You are in a life-threatening situation. Flying debris
may be deadly to those caught without shelter. Mobile
homes will be heavily damaged or destroyed. Homes and
businesses will have substantial roof and window damage.
Expect extensive tree damage and power outages.

Cavour and Yale around 510 PM CDT.
Iroquois around 515 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include De
