Northwestern Bennett County in southwestern South Dakota…
Southwestern Jackson County in southwestern South Dakota…
Northeastern Oglala Lakota County in southwestern South Dakota…

* Until 645 PM MDT.

* At 541 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Rockyford, or
36 miles north of Pine Ridge, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Kyle, Potato Creek, Kyle North Route Housing, Thunder Valley,
Sharps Corner, Rockyford, southern Badlands National Park, Yellow
Bear Canyon and Pine Ridge Reservation.

Instructions

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing
widespread damaging winds and large hail.
