* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southeastern Cherry County in north central Nebraska…
Brown County in north central Nebraska…
Northern Blaine County in north central Nebraska…
Eastern Thomas County in north central Nebraska…

* Until 115 AM CDT.

* At 1221 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles southwest of Brownlee to 9 miles north of
Thedford to 12 miles southwest of Halsey, moving northeast at 60
mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Ainsworth, Thedford, Halsey, Johnstown, Purdum, Brownlee, Elsmere,
Wood Lake, Hofeld Lake, Raven, Moon Lake, Hawley Flats, Willow Lake
State Wildlife Management Area, Long Lake State Wildlife Management
Area, Highway 83 crossing the North Loup River, Koshopah, Jones
Lake, Giant Hill, Natwick, and Johnsons Corner.

This includes the following highways…
Highway 20 between mile markers 217 and 244.
Highway 2 between mile markers 205 and 232.
Highway 83 between mile markers 139 and 189.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
