* Until 400 AM CDT.

* At 305 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Loomis to near Milltown to 6 miles southwest of
Kaylor, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Mitchell, Parkston, Tyndall, Parker, Lake Vermillion State
Recreation Area, Salem, Freeman, Scotland, Marion, Canistota,
Tripp, Alexandria, Menno, Avon, Bridgewater, Montrose, Mount
Vernon, Emery, Irene, and Ethan.

Instructions

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay
away from windows.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
