The National Weather Service in Lubbock Texas has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Central Swisher County in the Panhandle of Texas…
Northwestern Briscoe County in the Panhandle of Texas…

* Until 130 AM CDT.

* At 1223 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms with a history of producing
winds of 60 to 70 mph were located along a line extending from 6
miles east of Happy to 5 miles southeast of Tulia, moving east-
northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Tulia, Silverton, Happy, Vigo Park, and Mackenzie Reservoir.

Instructions

Prepare immediately for damaging winds. People outside should move
immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay away from
windows. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may
lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
