* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northeastern Edmunds County in north central South Dakota…
Eastern McPherson County in north central South Dakota…
Northwestern Brown County in northeastern South Dakota…

* Until 915 PM CDT.

* At 836 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
near Long Lake to over Cravens Corner, or along a line from 14
miles northwest of Leola to near Ipswich, moving northeast at 40
mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and small hail.

SOURCE…Trained spotters reported. At 829 PM CDT, a 70 mph wind
gust was measured 2.6 miles north northeast of Hosmer.

IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Deerfield Colony, Leola, Cravens Corner, Long Lake, Plainview
Colony and Ipswich around 840 PM CDT.
Long Lake Colony around 845 PM CDT.
Grassland Colony, Wetonka and Mina Lake Rec Area around 850 PM CDT.
Richmond Lake Rec Area and Spring Creek Colony around 900 PM CDT.
Westport, Barnard and Frederick around 910 PM CDT.

and stay away from windows. These storms have produced widespread
damaging winds.
