Southeastern Burleigh County in south central North Dakota…
Northeastern Emmons County in south central North Dakota…
Southern Kidder County in south central North Dakota…
Western Logan County in southeastern North Dakota…

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 530 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Sterling, or
19 miles east of Bismarck, moving southeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Napoleon, Steele, Tappen, Menoken, Sterling, Dawson, Braddock, Lake
Isabel, Driscoll, Mckenzie, Crystal Springs, Kintyre, Moffit,
Streeter Memorial and Beaver Lake State Park.

Instructions

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing
widespread damaging winds and large hail.
