* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northwestern Elk County in southeastern Kansas…
Northeastern Cowley County in south central Kansas…
Southeastern Butler County in south central Kansas…
Southwestern Greenwood County in southeastern Kansas…

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 720 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Atlanta, or
12 miles east of Douglass, moving northeast at 40 mph. This
warning replaces the prior Severe Thunderstorm Warning for
northern Cowley County.

HAZARD…Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Leon, Burden, Atlanta, Latham, Rosalia, Winfield City Lake,
Beaumont, and Piedmont.
