Eastern Butte County in northwestern South Dakota…
South Central Harding County in northwestern South Dakota…
Southwestern Perkins County in northwestern South Dakota…
North Central Meade County in west central South Dakota…

* Until 700 PM MDT.

* At 602 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles southeast
of Crow Buttes, or 29 miles south of Buffalo, moving southeast at
30 mph.

THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR HAYSTACK BUTTES, HOOVER, CASTLE
ROCK.

HAZARD…Baseball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
siding, and vehicles.

* Locations impacted include…
Newell, Hoover, Castle Rock, Redig, Mud Butte, Dears Ears Butte,
Haystack Buttes, Newell Lake and Crow Buttes.

Instructions

Seek shelter now inside an interior room on the lowest floor of a
well-built structure. This storm is capable of producing destructive
hail and damaging winds.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
