* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northeastern Cedar County in east central Iowa…
Northwestern Scott County in east central Iowa…
Southeastern Jones County in east central Iowa…
Southwestern Clinton County in east central Iowa…

* Until 730 PM CDT.

* At 650 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Massillon
Park, or 13 miles east of Stanwood, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
DeWitt, Lowden, Wheatland, Grand Mound, Oxford Junction, Lost
Nation, Calamus, Donahue, Toronto, Dixon, Camp Liberty, Massillon
Park, Oxford Mills, Big Rock, Sherman Park, Walnut Grove Park, and
Clinton County Fairgrounds.

Instructions

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature’s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
