Northeastern Cheyenne County in east central Colorado…
Southeastern Kit Carson County in east central Colorado…
Northwestern Wallace County in west central Kansas…
Southwestern Sherman County in northwestern Kansas…

* Until 615 PM MDT.

* At 538 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles south of Burlington to 15 miles southeast of
Bethune to 13 miles northeast of Kit Carson, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Cheyenne Wells.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 0 and 9.
Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 427 and 450.
Highway 385 between mile markers 146 and 189.

This thunderstorm is producing accumulating hail, which will make
driving hazardous, similar to snow or ice. If you must travel, be
aware of rapidly changing road conditions.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
