The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northwestern Jackson County in east central Iowa…
Southwestern Dubuque County in northeastern Iowa…
Northeastern Jones County in east central Iowa…

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 523 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Fillmore
Recreation Area, or 15 miles southwest of Dubuque, moving southeast
at 20 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Cascade, Farley, La Motte, Bernard, Zwingle, Otter Creek, South
Gary Owen, Garry Owen, Fillmore, Fillmore Recreation Area, Crab
Town, Ironhills, and Washington Mills.

Instructions

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
