The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Eastern Meade County in west central South Dakota…
Eastern Pennington County in west central South Dakota…

* Until 800 PM MDT.

* At 705 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
6 miles east of Mud Butte to over Thompson Butte, or along a line
from 36 miles west of Faith to 17 miles southeast of Rapid City,
moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and small hail.

IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Faith, Wall, Union Center, Wasta, Scenic, Plainview, Enning,
Owanka, Elm Springs, White Owl, Creighton, Marcus, Red Owl,
Wicksville, Stoneville, Howes, Opal, Maurine, Farmingdale and
Durkee Lake.

This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 80
and 112.

Instructions

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms have produced widespread
damaging winds.
