The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southwestern Panola County in northeastern Texas…
East Central Rusk County in northeastern Texas…

* Until 200 PM CDT.

* At 125 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles south of
Tatum, or 14 miles northwest of Carthage, moving southeast at 15
mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Carthage, Tatum, Beckville, Gary City and Fairplay.

Instructions

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

If on or near Martin Lake, get away from the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be
caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
