Southeastern Perkins County in northwestern South Dakota…

* Until 915 PM MDT.

* At 811 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of
Owen Lake, or 32 miles northwest of Faith, moving southeast at 30
mph.

HAZARD…Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Trained spotters reported.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Chance, Usta, Arrow Head Buttes and Owen Lake.

Instructions

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm has produced dangerous hail
and damaging winds.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
