Northwestern Polk County in central Iowa…

* Until 1130 PM CDT.

* At 1107 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Polk City,
or 7 miles north of Johnston, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Public. A personal weather station reported a 60 mph wind
gust at at 11:02pm near Big Creek.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Ankeny, Polk City, Granger, Saylorville Lake, Big Creek Lake,
Elkhart, Alleman, and Big Creek State Park.

This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 92 and 101.
