The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southeastern Tripp County in south central South Dakota…

* Until 100 AM CDT.

* At 1230 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 14 miles
southeast of Colome, or 24 miles southeast of Winner, moving east
at 40 MPH.

HAZARD…70 MPH wind gusts. At 1216 AM CDT, a wind gust to 70 MPH
was measured in Wewela.

SOURCE…Weather station reported.

IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include…
Colome and Wewela.

Instructions

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.

If you observe hail, wind damage, or flooding, please report your
observations to the National Weather Service office in Rapid City via
phone, email, or social media, as soon as it is safe to do so.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for a portion of
south central South Dakota.
