The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northeastern Yuma County in northeastern Colorado…
Western Dundy County in southwestern Nebraska…

* Until 400 PM MDT.

* At 254 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles north of
Wray, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northeastern Yuma and western Dundy Counties, including the
following locations… Laird, Alvin, and Wauneta.

This includes Highway 385 between mile markers 242 and 262.

Instructions

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature’s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for northeastern
Colorado…northwestern Kansas…and southwestern Nebraska.
