Special Weather Statement issued September 17 at 6:18PM MDT by NWS Cheyenne WY

Details

At 618 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles north of Dix, or 11 miles northeast of Kimball, moving north at
25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern
Cheyenne, northeastern Kimball and southeastern Banner Counties.
