Details
At 1113 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of showers with a
few lightning strikes extending from 11 miles east of Owl Butte to
over Box Elder, or extending from 34 miles northeast of Sturgis to 8
miles east of Rapid City, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include…
Rapid City, Sturgis, Rapid Valley, Ellsworth Air Force Base, Box
Elder, Black Hawk, Summerset, New Underwood, Newell, Union Center,
Piedmont, Vale, Wasta, Plainview, Enning, Owanka, Elm Springs,
Hereford, Wicksville and Fairpoint.
This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 30
and 110.
