Details

At 459 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from near Smithland to over Blanchard, or
extending from 20 miles south of Atlanta to 10 miles northwest of
Shreveport, moving southwest at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Blanchard, Waskom, Jefferson, Oil City, Mooringsport, Karnack,
Smithland, Woodlawn, Gray, Uncertain, Leigh, Bethany, Caddo Lake
and Jonesville.

Instructions

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
