Details
At 1212 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Bryans Corner to 5 miles northwest of Waka to
Gruver to near Conlen. Movement was southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Perryton, Spearman, Stratford, Gruver, Bryans Corner, Farnsworth,
Conlen, Boyd, Waka, Balko, and Texhoma.
Instructions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
the Panhandle of Oklahoma…and the Panhandle of Texas.
