Details

At 506 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Durant, Oklahoma to near Burneyville,
Oklahoma. Movement was southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Sherman, Gainesville, Bonham, Whitesboro, Denison, Pottsboro,
Collinsville, Muenster, Bells, Lindsay, Savoy, Callisburg, Knollwood,
Ravenna, Dorchester, Lake Bonham, Valley Lake, Randell Lake, Lake
Kiowa, and Eisenhower State Park.

This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 489 and 503.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If on or near Lake Texoma, get out of the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
