Details

At 936 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Broken Bow, moving northeast at 60 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Broken Bow, Sargent, Comstock, Berwyn, Weissert, Round Valley, Big
Oak Canyon, Divide Hill, and Wescott.

This includes the following highways…
Highway 183 between mile markers 100 and 122.
Highway 2 between mile markers 274 and 287.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in North Platte.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
central Nebraska.
