Special Weather Statement issued August 25 at 6:34PM MDT by NWS Cheyenne WY

Details

At 634 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles east of Agate Fossil Beds National Monument, or 39 miles
southwest of Chadron, moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Box
Butte, southwestern Dawes and east central Sioux Counties.
