Details

At 547 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles north of Carlton, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Strong wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects and
vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include…
Abilene, Herington, Solomon, Enterprise, Hope, Woodbine, and Carlton.

This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 267 and 281.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for
central and east central Kansas.
