Details

At 437 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Palito Blanco, or 9 miles southeast of San Diego, moving north at 30
mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Alice, San Diego, Premont, San Jose, Ben Bolt, Palito Blanco,
Tecalote, Cruz Calle, Alice Acres, Alfred, Rios, Rosita, Westdale,
and Lake Alice.

This includes the following highways…
US Highway 281 between mile markers 656 and 700.
US Highway 59 between mile markers 756 and 760.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
