Details

At 453 AM CDT/353 AM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm 9 miles south of Whites City, or 25 miles south of
Carlsbad, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Carlsbad, Loving, Malaga, Whites City, Carlsbad Caverns National
Park, and Cavern City Air Terminal.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
