Details

At 823 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Emmons, or 12 miles southwest of Albert Lea, moving northeast at 35
mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Mansfield, Emmons, Conger, Alden, Twin Lakes, Albert Lea,
Glenville, Manchester, Myre Big Island State Park, Albert Lea
Airport, Myrtle, Hayward and London.

Instructions

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
