Details
At 1158 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 5 miles west of Lela to near Quail to 5 miles
northwest of Memphis. Movement was east at 35 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include…
Wellington, Shamrock, Mclean, Hedley, Dodson, Lutie, Dozier, Lela,
Quail, and Samnorwood.
This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 138 and 176.
Instructions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
