Details
At 957 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Venango, or 17 miles east of Holyoke, moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Grant, Madrid, Venango, Elsie, Lamar, Wild Horse Spring, and Brandon.
This includes Highway 61 between mile markers 53 and 73.
Instructions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM MDT for
southwestern Nebraska.
