Details
At 1004 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 17 miles west of Freer to
near Hebbronville. Movement was east at 40 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Freer, Benavides, Concepcion, Realitos, Loma Alta, Seven Sisters,
Bruni, Ramirez, and Rosita.
This includes US Highway 59 between mile markers 756 and 792.
Instructions
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
