Details
At 1104 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from near Melrose to 12 miles southeast of
Hemphill, or extending from 9 miles east of Nacogdoches to 49 miles
southeast of Center, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 30 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Milam, San Augustine, Hemphill, Pineland, Macune, Bland Lake,
Rosevine, Neuville, Martinsville, Melrose, Appleby, Chireno,
Chinaquapin, Calgary, Denning, Bronson, Jericho, Yellowpine,
Arcadia and Fairmount.
Instructions
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
If on or near Toledo Bend lower Texas side, get out of the water and
move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out
to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
