Details
At 448 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms
producing a landspout along a line extending from 5 miles northwest
of Umbarger to Washburn. Movement was southeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph, and half inch hail. Isolated
and brief landspouts are possible.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
objects.
Locations impacted include…
Amarillo, Hereford, Canyon, Panhandle, Claude, Lake Tanglewood,
Bushland, Buffalo Lake, Washburn, Umbarger, Palo Duro Canyon,
Goodnight, Mescalero Park, Dawn, Timbercreek Canyon, and Pantex.
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 27 between mile markers 96 and 123.
Interstate 40 between mile markers 47 and 110.
