Details

At 208 PM CDT, A cluster of strong thunderstorms were reported along
a line extending from near Eppley Airfield to 5 miles southwest of
Offutt AFB to 3 miles east of Murdock. Movement was southeast at 30
mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Automated weather stations reported wind gusts 40 to 45
mph.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

* Locations impacted include…
Southeastern Omaha, Council Bluffs, Bellevue, Papillion, Offutt
AFB, Plattsmouth, Glenwood, Carter Lake, Malvern, Sidney,
Louisville, Tabor, Treynor, Crescent, Pacific Junction, Murray,
Emerson, Cedar Creek, Macedonia, and Silver City.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 29 between mile markers 15 and 63.
Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 1 and 11.
Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 452 and 454.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
