Details

At 526 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles west of Washburn, or 9 miles east of Amarillo, moving northeast
at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Amarillo, Canyon, Panhandle, Lake Tanglewood, Mescalero Park, Buffalo
Lake, Washburn, Palo Duro Canyon, Timbercreek Canyon, and Pantex.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 27 between mile markers 91 and 113.
Interstate 40 between mile markers 73 and 97.
