Details

At 405 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from 10 miles south of Pineland to 20 miles
east of Hemphill, or extending from 46 miles east of Lufkin to 43
miles southwest of Natchitoches, moving north at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 30 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Pineland, Yellowpine, Fairmount, Columbus and McElroy.

Instructions

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

If on or near Sam Rayburn to Toledo Bend, get out of the water and
move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out
to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
