Details
At 452 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Northeast El Paso, moving west at 10 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Northeast, Central and West El Paso, Chaparral, Anthony, Sunland
Park, Fort Bliss and Biggs Field, Anthony Gap, Canutillo, Berino,
Vinton, La Union, and Franklin Mountains State Park.
Instructions
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
