Details

At 354 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Nome to 6 miles north of Fannett. Movement was
east at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Beaumont, Port Arthur, Nederland, Nome, Central Gardens, China,
Fannett, Port Acres, and Southeast Texas Regional Airport.

This includes Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 855 and
834.

Instructions

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
