Special Weather Statement issued August 31 at 1:00AM MDT by NWS Goodland KS

Details

At 100 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles north of Horace, or 10 miles north of Tribune, moving northeast
at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central
Wallace and northern Greeley Counties.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
