Details

At 311 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Kansas City, or near Parkville, moving north at 10 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Parkville, Riverside, Weatherby Lake, Kansas City, Lake Waukomis,
Platte Woods, Northmoor, Houston Lake, Wolcott, Pomeroy, Waldron,
Beverly Hills, and Maywood.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 29 between mile markers 3 and 8.
Interstate 635 between mile markers 6 and 12.
Interstate 435 between mile markers 15 and 23.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
