* Until 1230 AM CDT.
* At 1139 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located over Sarcoxie, or 13 miles southeast of
Carthage, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD…Tornado.
SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* Locations impacted include…
Monett, Aurora, Mount Vernon, Marionville, Sarcoxie, Pierce City,
Verona, Stotts City, Halltown, Freistatt, Wentworth, La Russell,
Reeds, Hoberg, and Chesapeake.
This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 21 and 58.
