* Until 1145 PM CDT.
* At 1113 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located over Duenweg, or near Joplin, moving east at 40
mph.
HAZARD…Tornado.
SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* Locations impacted include…
Eastern Joplin, Carthage, Webb City, Carterville, Duquesne,
Sarcoxie, Duenweg, Fidelity, Wentworth, La Russell, Brooklyn
Heights, Reeds, Atlas, and Oakland Park.
This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 11 and 31.
