Warning for the following rivers in Missouri…
Sac River near Caplinger Mills affecting Cedar County.
For the Sac River…including Caplinger Mills…Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…Sac River near Caplinger Mills.
* WHEN…From early this morning to this afternoon.
* IMPACTS…At 16.0 feet, minor Flooding occurs at the gage site.
The campground at Caplinger Mills floods.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 3:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 16.4 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 3:45 AM CDT Thursday was 16.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river will fall below flood stage this morning
to 13.7 feet this evening. It will then rise to 14.6 feet
just after midnight tonight. It will fall to 12.0 feet early
tomorrow afternoon. It will then rise to 12.1 feet Saturday
morning. It will fall again and remain below flood stage.
– Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
16.4 feet on 06/21/2008.
