Details

At 1001 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 13 miles north of Utica to
6 miles northeast of Scott State Lake. Movement was north at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

These storms will remain over mainly rural areas of eastern Logan and
Gove Counties, including the following locations… The Monument
Rocks.

This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 76 and
112.

Instructions

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
