* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Northeastern Houston County in southeastern Texas…
Northwestern Polk County in southeastern Texas…
Northeastern Trinity County in southeastern Texas…

* WHEN…Until 530 PM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1122 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 7 inches of
rain have fallen over these areas within the last 24 hours. A
Flash Flood Warning could be issued later today if heavy rain
moves back into this region.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Apple Springs, Groveton, Kennard, Centralia, Pennington and
Weches.

Instructions

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
